Should laws regarding conservation of natural resources be made universal throughout the world?

In recent years, we are always relying on natural resources in our lives to fulfill our needs. Natural resources appear naturally in environments that exist comparatively with humanity. A natural resource is usually characterized by numbers of biodiversity and geodiversity existent in ecosystem. The world’s natural resources are limited, which means that if we use them frequently, we finally exhaust them. The basic observation is unavoidable. In another way of looking at this issue are much more relevant to considering people’s welfare. Our exhaustible and non-renewable natural resources when measured in terms of their prospective contribution to human welfare, can actually increase annually, perhaps never coming anywhere near exhaustion ( Blackman, S., & Baumol, W ). However, each country has their own opinions and policies on this issue. Although conserving natural resources  have detrimental factor such as  different point of views , we support this motion because natural resources bring some benefits such as preserving a healthy environment, a balanced environment and job opportunities.
However, during this time, these resources are going to be exhausted and unbalance. This may be caused by uncontrolable exploitation. For instance, according to McDermott ( 2007 ), there are horrible deforestations in ten countries such as Nigeria (36%), Indonesia (26%), Honduras (37%), Philippines (32%), Benin (31%), Gana (28%), Nepal (25%), North Korea (25%), Equador (22%), and Haiti (22%). This event will bring more harm if we do not take any actions to take care of it. This case is not only happening in a country, but in worldwide as well. Therefore, all countries need to conserve natural resources to avoid extinction.

The conservation of our natural resources and their proper use constitute the fundamental problem which underlies almost every other problem of our national life

 Theodore Roosevelt.

Of late, we always get environmental problems such as deforestation, air pollution, global warming, and so on. Deforestation causes large amounts of carbon dioxide to be released into the atmosphere which at a time was carbon neutral because it was contained within plant life, but now contributes to global warming. Causing rises in the earth's atmospheric temperature melting the ice caps, causing a sudden drastic in sea levels. Meanwhile, air pollution creates some infections to humans life such as asthma, TBC, lung cancer and many more. So that is why we need to keep our environment clean and healthy. This issue is a global concern because it is so vital. Beside, the effect will be spread out globally and influence to all countries in the world. Considering to this matter, we need to conserve as well as possible due to prevent the deforestation.
As we know that, natural resources involve water, land, forest, fossil fuel, and so on which means that we need to keep the resources in order to keep a balanced ecosystem. Can we imagine if one of them disappears? The ecosystem will be unbalance and affected because of it. We have heard from news on internet, television, or newspaper that most of people are accustomed to destroy all over the forest in order to open a new land for making farmland, buildings, resorts, and many more. This case definitely interrupts the ecosystem because so many problems occur such as most of animals which are used to live in forest have to be driven out of their natural habitat and eventually, they will be a threat for human life. Although, by doing this could keep the ecosystem balance and safe. However, it will require a lot of funds to conserve the natural resources and this case should be a great concern to every country as well.
Another benefit that we can obtain from conserving natural resources is that we could get job opportunities. It means that this act could give some jobs for those who have basic about this matter and also, for those are unemployed for such a long time. So, by doing this, the numbers of unemployment rate will be decreased and indirectly, this way can enhance the economic system of the country. Jobs which are related to natural resources tend to focus on employment opportunities leaning towards outdoor field work and the resources professions. There are so many opportunities for those who study in biotechnology, environmental engineering, biochemistry, ecology and land management, natural resources and conservation policy, watershed management, wildlife conservation parks management and many others.
The conservation of natural resources is definitely vital, because we need to keep the natural resources away from complete exhausted. As we know, natural resources are limited and non-renewable. Can we imagine if natural resources are depleted and none of energy that we can use forward? If this happens, it will be a big problem to every country, like getting economic problems. For example, we are so dependant on fossil fuels. However, fossil fuels is limited and need a long time to be produced. Meanwhile, our needs become higher and none of energy can be used as alternative way. In the other words, each and every country should share same policy of conserving natural resources in order to be made universal and indirectly, we can save the world.
Taking all this into consideration, laws should regarding conservation of natural resources be made universal throughout the world because it is a global matter and it is absolutely very essential. There are some benefits that we can get from this act. Firstly, we can keep our environment safe and healthy. Second, we can keep the ecosystem balance and controlable. Lastly, doing this act, we also can take some job opportunities which are provided for those who have basic on it and this could maintain the existence of natural resources continuously. According to Matthews (1908), President Roosevelt’s plan was to hold all continuing public property and develop it on a more or less socialistic basic. He planned to direct the organization of public sentiment, and formulation of laws by all resources, whether in land or in water, whether national, state, or private, shall be directed in a way to preserve intact or to increase the principal of them, and to give to each succeeding generation a larger wealth from the interest. In addition, I strongly believe that conserving the natural resources should be made universal in order to save the world entirely.
